Dr Anna Mieczakowski is the Chief Operations Officer at FGV Cambridge Nanosystems, a young company born out of the University of Cambridge in 2011 that has developed a ground-breaking method of producing ultra-high quality, impurity-free graphene materials in high volumes. I joined the company's management team in January 2015 as the first non co-founder.
Alongside this role, I am also an Industrial Fellowat theUniversity of Cambridge Engineering Design Centre where I support organisations of all types in designing more inclusive products and services that align with the understanding of users with diverse levels of technological competence and abilities. My work also focuses on unravelling the intricacies of users’ socio-psychological factors in the adoption and sustained usage of interventions in healthcare and telecommunications.
Previously, I worked in consulting on numerous User Experience (UX) and other product developments spanning a wide range of sectors, including consumer products, healthcare, education, automotive and F1 racing, aerospace, energy, construction, polymers, 3D printing. I hold a Ph.D. in Engineering Design from the University of Cambridge.
